Is the body temperature the same everywhere?
The human body is a highly complex biological system, and body temperature is a very important vital sign.
Generally speaking, we check our health by taking our temperature on the forehead, in the ear, rectally, in the mouth or under the arm.
Different temperatures can be measured depending on where the measurement is made.

How do you take your temperature?
Depending on the thermometer used, the way you take your temperature varies.
Regardless of the method chosen, for optimum temperature measurement, it is recommended to:
- Not having done any physical exercise just before
- Place the thermometer in the room 30 minutes before taking the measurement
- Take 3 measurements and take only the highest value into account
- Disinfect the thermometer between each use
- Wash hands before and after taking the temperature
What is fever?
Fever is defined as an increase in the body’s core temperature (as measured rectally) to over 38 °C, in the absence of physical exertion and in a moderate ambient temperature. It is generally not dangerous in itself. It is worth measuring when it causes discomfort and symptoms.
