Why choose this product?

URGO Filmogel® after insect bites combines protective and soothing film-forming properties in an innovative formula. Once applied, it transforms into a flexible, transparent, water-resistant film that protects, prevents scratching and soothes.

How should you use this product?

If a stinger is present, remove it gently.
Clean, disinfect, rinse and dry the affected area with a sterile dressing before application.
Apply and spread the film-forming product with the spatula to cover the area evenly - a slight tingling may be felt on application.
Leave it to dry for a few seconds.
Reapply as often as necessary (on average 2-3 times a day).

There is no need to remove the residual film when reapplying. If you wish to remove it, there are two possible methods:
- Pull the edges of the film.
- Apply a new drop of solution over the existing film and wipe immediately with a dry dressing.

Close tightly after use.
After opening, use within 6 months.

What is the reaction caused by insect bites?

We are all affected by insect bites, whether they are mosquitoes, spiders, bees, horseflies or otherwise. These bites are likely to lead to an immune reaction characterized, among other things, by the onset of redness and itching.

What are the contraindications to the use of URGO Filmogel® after insect bites?

- Do not apply to lesions due to dermatological conditions or fungal infections, or to infected or oozing wounds.
- Do not apply to mucous membranes or the eye area.
- Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
- In the absence of studies in pregnant or breastfeeding women, use of this product is not recommended.

What precautions should be taken when using this product?

- Skin application only. Do not swallow.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use in children under 1 year of age.
- In the event of multiple bites, especially in children, seek advice from your pharmacist.
- If the itching is not due to an insect bite, seek advice from your pharmacist.
- Do not use for more than 8 days without medical advice.
- Do not smoke during application, before the product has dried completely or near the open bottle.
- If in doubt, seek advice from your pharmacist or doctor.
