URGO sterile gauze pads are indicated for the cleaning of superficial wounds, healthy skin in pre- and post-operative situations. The manufacture of dressings for the protection, compression or absorption of exudates from sutured acute wounds, post-operative wounds and superficial unsutured wounds
Gauze URGO's sterile compresses are absorbent and sterile.
1. Open the bag without touching the compress so that it retains its sterile characteristic.
2. Clean and disinfect the wound and its surroundings with a compress, antiseptic/soap solution or other active ingredient and then dry the wound with a compress.
3. Depending on the size of the wound and the amount of exudates, cover the wound with 1 or 2 compresses. Fix with a plaster or any other means of fixing.
Renew the dressing, according to the instructions for use, 1 to 2 times a day depending on the prescription, the condition of the wound or the dressing.
Caution:
• Regularly monitor a wound and its surroundings for signs of infection such as pain, redness, edema, odor, or suppuration.
If in doubt or infection, contact a doctor or nursing service.
• Sterile compresses for single use: do not reuse, do not store compresses in an open bag, do not reposition a compress that has already been applied, otherwise there is a risk of infection.
• In case of redness, irritation, discontinue use

Do not use the compresses for more than 30 consecutive days without interruption. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiration date (indicated on the pouch and on the box).
Store the compress packets in their original box.
Do not use if you are allergic to at least one of the ingredients.
